“Archer’s arrows is pure magic. All of our kiddos have attended traditional indoor preschools and the joy our youngest gets from his outdoor adventures with Archer is unmatched. Grounding our kiddos in the natural world especially before they’re stuck inside for much of the next 13+ years, to learn what they love and learn boundaries makes Archer’s Arrows hard to beat. Archer’s personal love of kiddos and the wild add to the magic everyday. Excited for another year!”

“Teacher Archer has a rare gift of blending fun and exploration with safety and boundaries. Core values of being connected to the natural world are infused with every activity, lesson, and story. Her creativity is bar none. She effortlessly plays with children while modeling superb negotiation and social skills. She is a veteran child whisperer. Your child will build confidence, connection, and knowledge of themselves and the world around them simply being in her presence and engaging in any of the classes that Archers Arrows offers.”

“Teacher Archer was excellent, and above all she is a nice, patient person, and very competent at her job. She made such a positive difference in the formative years for my son. The entire concept of outdoor education, a classroom beneath the trees, has been one of the best learning experiences. Rain or shine, it has helped my child become so resilient to weather. I’m very thankful to have opted for this class. I would totally recommend it to all parents considering it.”

“My son Levi was in outdoor school with Archer for two years, and he absolutely loved it. Although he has always been more of an indoor kid than an outdoor kid, his time with Archer taught him to experience the magic of nature and find joy in being outside through every season. He would proudly share what he had learned in class, whether it was about forest plants, animals, weather, or edible plants. I also noticed tremendous growth in him during his time with Archer. By his second year in the program, he was rolling around in the mud without hesitation and no longer afraid to get dirty. When Levi finished pre-K and was getting ready for kindergarten, he told me he wished Archer could be his kindergarten teacher. I think that says so much about the incredible teacher she is and her ability to connect with every type of child.”

“We loved Archer’s class! Our son first enrolled at age 3 (he’s now 4), and it was a wonderful way to start socializing him in a class setting. We were drawn to the outdoor classroom aspect, but it turned out to be so much more. I volunteered whenever I could and was continually impressed by how thoughtfully structured the class is for a group of very young children in a park environment. Archer is always pointing out things in nature and explaining them in a way that engages the kids, and the parents. I even learned what lichen is! :-)
She leads the children on hikes and explorations throughout Camp Long, teaching along the way and weaving in fun, hands-on activities like building dams or playing games in the field. Archer’s Arrows offers a terrific combination of learning, physical activity, social connection, and time in nature for young kids. Highly recommend!”

“Archer’s outdoor class was exactly what my son needed! We were lucky to be a part of this program for two years, and in that time he had so many good experiences as well as gaining confidence in the outdoors. Rain or shine, he was always excited to get his gear on and explore! Teacher Archer is incredible with kids, and has a gift for inspiring fun and comfort for kids of all ages outdoors! My son’s favorite activities included building habitats out of sticks and leaves, climbing trees and rocks, playing the “floor is lava” out on a hike, and listening to Teacher Archer read a story during snack.
Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for an easy-going yet educational and FUN experience for their little ones in the great outdoors!”
